Power & GraceIMG_4127

Experience the power and grace of yoga in this class! This class provides a unique combination of dynamic breathing and strong, flowing movement which creates a high-energy practice. Not only will this class improve your overall strength, it will detoxify the body and build mind-body awareness.

Flow 1

Flow 1 focuses on developing a strong foundation using proper breathing techniques, the principles of alignment and modifications to meet the needs of all practitioners. This class will focus on connecting each movement with the breath and teaching practitioners how to maneuver through the curves or “waves” of their spine. This class is designed to assist both beginners and more seasoned practitioners looking to deepen their yoga practice.

Open Flow

Open Flow will combine the best of the fundamentals taught in Flow 1 while incorporating advanced postures from the Flow 2 classes. This class will deeply connect the breath with a flowing asana practice which will leave you feeling energized and deeply grounded. Modifications will be provided in order for all practitioners to find their fullest expression and edge with in each posture!

Flow 2

Flow 2 is a vigorous, breath-synchronized practice based on a flowing series of postures. Each series is developed and sequenced to lead you into different variations of more advanced postures such as arm balances, deeper backbends, and inversions. With a focus on classical alignment and strong foundations, we will move into these postures with awareness and integrity. All are welcome to attend, but please remember to be mindful and respect your edge.

Sunday Salute

Sunday Salute is a combination of Flow and Hatha and incorporates postures, breath work, and meditation in order to create a peaceful yoga practice. A series of flowing postures will be taught with a focus on safely opening major joints of the body and building stability.  The class will move at a slower pace and utilize props, such as blankets, blocks, and straps in order to finder a deeper expression and awareness of the body in each posture. This class is recommended for beginners, those looking to deepen their practice or for anyone who wants to start their Sunday morning off right!

Yin uses passive postures held for longer periods of time in order to deeply open the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis and spine. This allows release of lactic acid and buried emotions, as well as greatly aiding the digestive system. Poses will be tailored to each practitioners’ body with the incorporation of bolsters, blocks, blankets, and straps. Students of every level can benefit from a calmer nervous system, and the gradual deep opening this class provides!

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a sleep-based guided meditation which will profoundly relax and rejuvenate your body, mind and soul.  You will be guided through different techniques such as tension and relaxation, body awareness, conscious breathing, and visualization in order to calm the mind and restore the body. Yoga Nidra is also a powerful tool to release unwanted thought patterns and emotions, and to replace them through the use of intention. We go from thinking and doing to feeling and being! The class will begin with 10-15 minutes of gentle asana to prepare our bodies for relaxation and meditation. During the meditation, you will be lying down in a comfortable position with the use of props such as blankets, bolsters, chairs and eye pillows. Yoga Nidra is intended to induce a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, however, it is typical for the practitioner to fall asleep. Even if you fall asleep, you will still gain the benefits of the meditation. It is said that an hour of Yoga Nidra is the equivalent of 4 hours normal sleep! This class is instructed by a Certified Yoga Nidra Facilitator and is suitable for EVERYONE.
