Nothing compares to Savasana after a delicious yoga flow, breathing in fresh salty air, feeling the sun on your skin, and hearing gentle waves lapping at your board. Open to all levels, Vanessa will teach you the basics of SUP and also guide you through a peaceful, yet challenging yoga practice in the calm waters off Picnic Island Beach. Your body and mind will find bliss in the serenity of nature.

Unsure about SUP yoga? Don’t be.

If you can balance on one foot, you can paddle. If you can breathe, you can do yoga. Our classes are accessible to all levels, offering modifications to add ease or challenge to each pose. We welcome everyone, from the first time yogi or paddler to the most adventurous inversion junkies!

What to expect in a SUP Yoga class:

Come ready to have a great time and get wet! We begin class with an introduction to stand up paddle boarding on the beach. You will learn how to paddle, turn, get up and down, and what to do if you fall! We will help you launch, and then head out for a short paddle to warm up the body before anchoring down and moving through a mellow yoga flow on the boards. We explore sun salutations, steady poses, and even inversions for the adventurous! The class concludes with a deep relaxation on the water, with the sound of waves lapping at your board.

Lead Yoga Instructor, Dasha Prikhodko

2015-08-07 21.40.21When asked how her yoga journey started Dasha answers, “Yoga found me right when I needed it the most!” Traveling, living in Europe, and getting a Master’s degree in linguistics and sports background, eventually led Dasha to Florida where she discovered the magic of yoga that filled her heart and mind with love. She got her 200-hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Certification from Yoga Loft Tampa, not only to be able to share her love for yoga with others, but also to have a deeper understanding of the spiritual aspects and roots of the practice. Dasha is privileged to be able to teach. She enjoys leading people through their yoga practice, seeing how they sink deeper into every pose, and melt into their mats under her guidance. She encourages her students to build heat in their bodies and discover muscles that they didn’t even know existed. She is delighted to watch her students listen to her voice and smile in appreciation. She assists her students as they navigate through meditation and connect with their inner self! In her classes, Dasha breaks down the practice to accommodate students of any level, beginners through advanced. She encourages everyone to ignite the light within themselves and spread that light through the practice of yoga.

Pura Vida Organic Foods, Kela Rothrock & Travis Young2015-08-07 20.21.17

Kela Rothrock and Travis Young started this business together due to their love for food and passion for health. Pura Vida, meaning Pure Life, is something that they feel this world needs a little more of. What better way to be pure then to nourish the body from the inside out. With their menu you will experience a variety of 100% organic raw, plant-based meals that have been prepared with flavor and love. Their aspirations are that people taste the food and get inspired to learn more about eating a plant-based diet, in hopes to start experimenting in the kitchen themselves. In addition to C0-founding Pura Vida, Kela is a Certified Yoga Instructor receiving her training at the Yoga Loft Tampa.

Free the Hips & Spine TriYoga® Workshop with Maggie Batt
Sunday, February 28th 2:00pm-4:00pm
Maggie2When our hips are tight, we stop the energy flow within the body. This may result in physical symptoms such as back, hip, leg and foot pain or feminine and intestinal difficulties. This workshop will focus on basic to intermediate postures to enhance, open purge and eventually free those hips. Then, we move the energy up the spine with flows that enable juicy joints and general well-being. We will be using the wall and props for support while cultivating a deep, complete breath for inner connection. Deep nidra (yogic sleep) follows. All levels will benefit.

Investment: $30
